Renters Rebate Vermont Status – Vermont is making significant changes to its Renters Rebate Program. These changes will be in effect for the 2021 income tax filing season and the 2022 tax year. The first is a new Landlord Certification form. This form will replace the Landlord Certificate that was required previously to claim the Rebate. VERAP rent payments affect renter credit

COVID-19 related sales/revenue losses may apply for additional funding
You may be eligible to receive additional funds through the state’s COVID-19 rehabilitation program if you have a Vermont rental property. Pre-applications are required for Vermonters who are interested in the program. The application deadline and the start date for additional funding will be communicated to applicants.
The state’s Department of Public Utilities offers resources to help customers affected by COVID-19, including ERAP and RAFT. The Massachusetts Homeowner Assistance Fund provides additional funding for homeowners who are eligible for it. This fund helps qualified homeowners pay their utility bills. Homeowners who experience foreclosure within seven days of the storm can also apply for assistance through the Division of Banks.
